Project Overview

A leading automotive reseller in Italy faced operational challenges that were hindering their sales efficiency and customer experience. With agents struggling to place orders efficiently and the sales department overwhelmed by manual data entry tasks, the company needed a comprehensive digital transformation.

The solution involved developing a complete ecosystem including mobile applications for agents, web portals for end customers, and seamless integration with existing management software through AWS cloud infrastructure.

The Challenge

The automotive reseller's sales operations were bottlenecked by inefficient manual processes. Sales agents needed a streamlined way to place orders directly from mobile devices while meeting with clients, eliminating delays and improving customer service quality.

The sales department was drowning in manual data entry work, processing thousands of orders annually by hand. This labor-intensive approach was prone to errors and prevented the team from focusing on higher-value activities like customer relationship management and sales strategy.

Additionally, the company lacked automated integration between their order-taking systems and management software, creating additional administrative overhead and potential for data inconsistencies.

Our Solution

We designed and implemented a comprehensive cloud-based solution using AWS infrastructure with daily data synchronization from the existing management software. This created a robust foundation for real-time order processing and data management.

The technical architecture included a backend API layer for secure data exchange, with order information flowing into an isolated frontier table within the management software database. We developed both Android and iOS applications using Flutter, ensuring consistent performance across all mobile platforms.

A dedicated web application was created exclusively for end customers, featuring role-based access controls. Customer users can only view their own data and orders, while agent users can select from their assigned clients and manage orders on their behalf. Custom import procedures were integrated into the existing management software to automatically process incoming orders.

Results and Impact

The transformation delivered immediate operational improvements for the sales department. Instead of manually entering thousands of orders annually, the team now focuses on supervising, approving, and making necessary modifications to orders, dramatically increasing their productivity and job satisfaction.

Sales agents gained the ability to verify customer status and information directly from tablets during client meetings, improving service quality and enabling more informed conversations. This real-time access to customer data enhanced the overall sales process and customer experience.

The digital adoption exceeded all expectations, with end customers requesting direct web access growing from just 1 user to over 500 in the first year alone. Today, more than 1,000 customers actively use the web portal to place their own orders, representing a 100,000% growth in digital engagement and significantly reducing the workload on both agents and the sales department.
